Why do we place such strong emphasis on a great tracking experience and continuously upgrade our tracking capabilities? Because better tracking not only saves time and effort, but also leads to higher-quality scan data. Clear details, accurate dimensions, no misalignment, and fewer artifacts all fundamentally come from precise tracking and alignment. With this upgrade, we introduce two major advancements—Super-Hybrid Alignment and AI Tracking Navigator—combined with Real-Time Global Optimization, taking EinScan Rigil to the next level.

Powered by AI Tracking Navigator algorithm, EinScan Rigil can turn weak& small surface features that were previously difficult to track into reliable alignment references, delivering smoother, more stable feature-based tracking with lower requirements on object geometry. Together with our unique marker-free laser scanning experience, users can scan more easily across complex structures, tight spaces, and objects where markers are difficult or impossible to apply. Beyond stronger performance in a single alignment method, delivers the perfect combination of blue laser data quality and marker-free efficiency.

EinScan Rigil also offer a richer set of tracking alignment modes, including marker, feature and texture alignment, enabling flexible adaptation to a wider range of scan objects. Moreover, these modes can work together through Super-Hybrid Alignment, flexibly combine three tracking mode together, making once-challenging or even impossible tasks achievable, simplifying complex scans, and helping beginners avoid mode-selection confusion—just enable all tracking options and scan with confidence.

Prior to this update, the Infrared mode already supported the super hybrid alignment of three different modes, which leads to the best IR scan experience in the industry. This update liberates laser scanning from the previous limitation where marker-based and feature-based alignment had to be used separately, now offering the same 'Super Hybrid Alignment' capability.

Less markers, reliable tracking

For objects that combine rich geometric features with flat surfaces, hybrid alignment helps reduce markers required while maintaining accurate and stable tracking.

Taking the front side body of this car as an example: the transition area from the hood to the door has enough geometric features to support EinScan Rigil’s feature-based alignment scanning. However, when moving to larger flat surfaces, marker tracking becomes necessary. In this case, hybrid alignment enables a smooth, continuous scan in one pass, while significantly reducing the number of markers needed in the intermediate area.

Fewer mismatch errors on repetitive structures

For repetitive patterns such as wheels, grids, ribs, and symmetrical shapes, a small number of markers can provide reliable positioning references and help prevent incorrect alignment.

More flexible scanning for surfaces that are hard to stick markers

For objects where markers cannot be directly applied, feature-based tracking can be used on the object itself, while markers can be placed around the surrounding area to support stable alignment and make scanning possible.

For areas such as the front grille and front-end section of a car, this is a very typical case: edges are difficult to apply markers to, and the long, symmetrical strip-like structures can easily challenge tracking. In this scenario, markers can be placed around the surrounding area, while hybrid alignment provides dual tracking support to ensure a successful scan in one pass.

From another perspective, beginners often struggle to choose the right tracking mode. With hybrid alignment, marker, feature, and texture tracking can work together, delivering a smoother balance of speed and stability without complicated mode selection.

More accurate multi-project alignment for large objects

When we need to accurately align multiple scanned sections from different parts of a vehicle body, marker alignment is the more reliable approach. However, scan data captured with feature alignment alone cannot support this. In this case, enabling hybrid alignment and simply placing 3~4 markers around the alignment edges can effectively solve the problem.

New Feature: AI Tracking Navigator

Turn weak features into usable tracking guidance

During scanning, AI Tracking Navigator helps identify surface areas and features that were previously considered too weak for tracking. For other scanners, these features cannot be used as tracking references. But thanks to our unique AI Tracking Navigator algorithm, we turn the impossible into possible.

Taking the fine seam lines on this car seat and the adjacent flat areas as an example: for other scanners, these areas would typically lack sufficient features and require markers for tracking. However, powered by our AI Tracking Navigator algorithm, Rigil can scan them directly and smoothly, delivering an irreplaceable convenient scanning experience.

With this upgrade, EINSTAR and EinScan further expand their clear advantages over other products in the smoothness and stability of feature-based alignment.

New Feature: Real-Time Global Optimization

Correct drift and mismatch while scanning

Real-Time Global Optimization continuously checks and refines alignment during the scan. Instead of only capture frames one by one, the system uses information across multiple frames to reduce accumulated alignment errors and correct mismatched areas.

When facing minor erroneous scan data, you no longer need to re-scan or roll back. Simply pass over the problematic area again, and EinScan Rigil can intelligently correct the errors in real time—saving you the time of doing it over and preventing one small issue from compromising the entire scan.
