About the 3DMyMask Project
Developed through a collaboration between IAM3DHUB, DIGIFAB, and Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the 3DMyMask project focuses on creating personalized silicone respiratory masks for premature infants in the NICU.
This clinical challenge highlights why accurate anatomical data from a medical 3D scanner can make a real difference.
Standardized interfaces often fail to match the unique facial anatomy of preterm infants, leading to:
- Air leakage
- Pressure-related injuries
- Discomfort
The 3DMyMask solution overcomes these challenges by combining:
- Personalized design based on accurate facial geometry
- Silicone parts manufactured via advanced AM techniques
